Hello, art enthusiast! I'm Lockey, your trusty all-purpose squirrel, and today I'm taking you to the cultural heart of Milan.

An afternoon among artistic masterpieces and avant-garde design is the best way to absorb the city's soul. But there’s one detail that can’t be ignored: museums have strict entry rules and do not allow trolleys or bulky bags for security reasons and artwork protection. Your luggage is an even bigger burden at a museum entrance.

How to get out of this annoying situation? Storing your suitcase before entering a museum is not just a good idea—it’s the only way to enjoy the experience without stress or the risk of being turned away. Store your luggage, clear your mind!

Why Luggage Storage is essential before a Museum

Forget wardrobe anxiety and time wasted in line. Leave your belongings safe and secure in my locker at Via Lazzaretto 16, just a few steps from the metro, and dive straight into Milanese art.

  • Guaranteed Entry: Museums systematically refuse trolleys, travel backpacks, and large bags.

  • Maximum Focus: Exhibits require attention. Moving lightly allows you to appreciate every detail without worry.

  • Freedom of Movement: Exhibition halls are often crowded. Moving hands-free is simply more comfortable.

Unmissable cultural hubs (and how to reach them from Lockey)

My location near Porta Venezia (M1) and Repubblica (M3) is perfect for quickly launching yourself into the city's most stimulating spots.

The classic heart: Pinacoteca di Brera

What to See: The Pinacoteca di Brera is one of Italy’s most important galleries, housing masterpieces by artists such as Raphael, Caravaggio, and Hayez. It's an unmissable experience in the heart of the artists' quarter.

How to Get There from Lockey: Walk to the Porta Venezia (M1) stop and take the Red Metro (M1) to Cairoli. From there, a beautiful stroll through the historic center takes you straight to your destination. Estimated Time: 20 minutes total.

The exhibition elite: Palazzo Reale and Museo del Novecento

What to See: Palazzo Reale is the venue for the most acclaimed international temporary exhibitions. Directly opposite, the Museo del Novecento offers a spectacular permanent collection with Duomo views.

How to Get There from Lockey: Take the Yellow Metro (M3) from the nearby Repubblica stop and get off directly at Duomo (only 3 stops!). Estimated Time: 10 minutes travel time.

Contemporary art: Fondazione Prada and Triennale Milano

]What to See: If you are a fan of modern art, Fondazione Prada will amaze you with its audacious architecture and unique installations. The Triennale is, instead, the reference point for design, architecture, and fashion.

Lockey's Tip: Reach Triennale by taking the M1 from Porta Venezia to Cadorna. For Fondazione Prada, use the M3 and change for the Yellow Line. Get rid of the weight with me, then use public transport with maximum agility.

Trade fairs and industry events:

Lockey, the business traveler’s operational base

The Final Call from Lockey The art is all yours! Don't let logistics hinder you. Now that you know where I am and how easy it is to reach me, all that's left is to choose your exhibit.
